Mended is made by Peak Apps Studio (Doruk Çetin, individual developer). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Mended app for iOS and Android and this website.
The short version
We don’t collect any personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your last-contact date, reasons, goals, check-ins, journal entries, unsent letters, urge history and settings are stored only on your device and are never sent to us or to anyone else.
Services the app talks to
| Service | When | What is sent |
|---|---|---|
| Apple App Store / Google Play | When you buy, restore or open the app | Handled by Apple or Google under their privacy policies. We don’t receive payment details; the app only asks the store whether you have Pro. |
| Expo (app updates) | When the app starts | A check for bug-fix updates with technical details such as the app version, the platform and a random install ID (plus an error report if an update fails to start), not your data. |
| Websites you open | Only when you tap a link | They open in the browser; the app sends them nothing. |
Permissions
- Notifications (optional): the daily check-in reminder and milestone notices are scheduled on your phone. Nothing is sent from a server. You can choose discreet text that says nothing about a breakup.
- Face ID / Touch ID / passcode on iPhone, fingerprint / face recognition / screen lock on Android (optional): used only to open the app when it is locked. The check is done by your phone’s operating system; the app never receives your biometric data.
This website
The day counter remembers your last-contact date in your own browser (local storage) so it can show it next time. It is never sent anywhere. The “should I text” flow and the unsent-letter page process what you type inside your browser only; nothing is sent or saved. The site uses no cookies, analytics or ads. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
Sensitive information
A breakup diary can be personal. Because it stays on your device, nobody at Peak Apps Studio can read it. You can lock the app, hide it in the app switcher (on Android: recent apps) and erase everything in Settings > Erase all data.
Children
Mended is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t collect information from anyone.
Your choices
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, sell or delete. Erase your data in Settings, or delete the app to remove everything.
